WOD
“Jump and Land”
3 Rounds for time:
100 Double unders
25 Snatch (75lbs/55lbs)

STIMULUS
Total time: 8-14 Minutes

White Board Chat:
Jumping and landing is what today is all about. High volume of double unders followed by a relatively higher number of snatches than we normally see. These are all designed to be received in the bottom of the squat. Our double under option should be something that we can complete right around 2 minutes, give or take a few seconds. The snatch loading should be a warm up weight for us and be something that we can consistently knock out 10-15 unbroken reps as soon as we pick up the bar each round!

Modifications

  1. Double unders
  • If we can hold over 15 unbroken double unders unbroken, consistently, go for 75
  • If we can hold 5-10 unborken double unders consistently, perform 40 reps
  • If we are working on our double unders but singles are too easy, perform 15 attempts
  • If we are working on our singles, follow the same guidelines as above
  1. Snatch
  • Decrease the load to something that we can perform 10-15 unbroken reps as soon as we pick up the bar each round.
  • If we are limited in our loading by positioning in any way, perform with a pvc today and receive below parallel rather than riding it down from a power snatch – if we can snatch today, we will snatch
  • If we have a single arm injury, perform single arm dumbbell snatches with a light load, catch in the squat if able!
